Resumo

While much of the narrative appears to be imaginary and the Scanyawtauragahroote tribe is unknown, there is evidence that the writer did actually undergo captivity among the Indians and that later he lived at Spencer, Massachusetts, where he was known as Charles Rouso.--Cf.
