A translation from a copy made by J.B. Muñoz of a ms. preserved in the convent of San José de Mercedarios descalzos in Seville. Includes the second book only of the first part of the ms., this part having title: Memorias antiguas historiales del Perú. The same text from a different ms. was published, in Spanish, Madrid, 1882, in v. 16 of the Coleccion de libros españoles raros ó curiosos, under title: Memorias antiguas historiales ... del Perú. cf. Dedication of the latter edition by M. Jiménez de la Espada. Book.
