Resumo

pp 205 a,b 1838 Sept 8. Priscilla Johnston to Buxton, about his letter, written from the Colonial Office, in which he had described Glenelg's interest in his proposal. She writes of her pleasure at his response, her anticipation of the amount of work to be done concerning the Joint Stock Company and her enjoyment of the book itself. She remaks on the visit to them of Dr. Cullen and the way in which her dislike of Brougham had been increased by what Burton had told them in his letter. She warns him about letting Hannah go out in the cold weather.
