Resumo

pp 162-3 [1841 Feb]. Account by Anna Gurney of the departure of Buxton and his wife for London on February 17, their return to Northrepps the same day after receiving letters at Aylsham, Norfolk, telling him he could delay three more days, the arrival of the news of Samuel Hoare's being struck with paralysis two days after their return and their second departure the next day, the 20th. Samuel Hoare was seriously ill for some time. The Buxtons spent Saturday and Sunday at Earlham with Joseph John Gurney and then left for London by the coach because the roads were too bad for their carriage. Buxton was again taken ill on arrival at Upton, having difficulty breathing.
