Memoir pp 219 a-d 1841 April 13. Buxton to Trotter, a farewell letter referring him to Psalm 121, sending his best wishes to Lieutenants Fishbourne and Strange, Captain William Allen, Dr. McWilliam and the other officers, asking him to tell Dr. Stanger how he had searched Cromer for him after missing him at Northrepps and adding that the relatives of Cocroft had asked him to put in a good word for him. He also asks him to deliver three letters he was enclosing to friends of his, if opportunity arose, and informs him that he might receive a paper from Captain Taylor. (Copy.) ( p 528.)
