Resumo
Handwritten copy of a memorial [directed to the king of Spain?] which focuses on the economic, geographical, and military circumstances of the provinces of the Spanish empire. The major focus of the work is the Caribbean Basin region and the ports of that area. Also included is a discussion of the general political and economic problems facing the empire. This copy was made in 1849 in Madrid by Domingo Guzman del Monte from a copy. Based on the 1990 published edition of the work, Guzman del Monte's copy may be one of only two in existence. [ca. 1683]
