Oxberry from Gibraltar to Buxton about the use of Gibraltar for fitting out vessels for the slave trade of Spain, which he had observed as an agent of Lloyd's and had reported frequently to the Government through its committee. He reports the arrest and conviction of Sherwill for supplying goods for this purpose to the Spanish Brig 'Cazador', his appeal and reversal of the fine of £10,000. Oxberry announces that the case would now come before the Privy Council. .
