Resumo
Salt Paper Print from a Calotype Negative by William Henry Fox Talbot (1800-1877). Talbot's Interest in Nature Is Visible from His Early Photomicrographic and Photogenic Drawings, through to His Later Calotype Landscapes. He Valued Photography as a Means of Expressing Nature, Though This Relationship Changed as Technological Advances Began to Dramatically Alter the Experience of Nature. Talbot Invented the Negative/Positive Process for Making Photographs between 1835-1839, Patenting It as the Calotype Process in 1841. For the First Time Any Number of Prints Could Be Made of a Single Image from the Negative. Dimensions: 48 mm x 196 mm. National Media Museum / Science & Society Picture Library. 48 mm x 196 mm.
