Resumo
Engraving from 'Ars Magna Lucis Et. Umbrae', Published in 1646 by Athanasius Kircher (1602-1680). The Plate Shows a Large Camera Obscura inside Which Is a Bright Oil Lamp and a Lens. The Lens Is Set up to Project onto the Wall of the Room a Series of Images on Glass Set into a Large Slide. A Chimney Is Also Set into the Top of the Camera Obscura to Let out the Smoke from the Lamp. These Demonstrations Eventually Resulted in the Birth of the Magic Lantern.
