Resumo
The entrance porch in the centre of the photograph is that seen in the left of print 3204. India Museum no. 1447. Received from Captain Lyon, 7 February 1871. Duplicate print at Photo 1001 (3205). 556. - This view shows the South and West sides of this temple. The Porch which is seen in the centre of this Photograph is the same as appears on the left of 555. A very cursory glance at these two views will show at once, that this temple is in form entirely different from the several hundred that have been already described, nor is there one out of the whole collection, which may be said even to resemble it. It is entirely of stone, but by whom constructed and how it comes to be placed in so unhealthy a spot and so far removed from any human habitation are at present quite unknown. Photographer: Lyon, Edmund David.
