Photograph of part of the palace at Govindgarh from the Album of 'Views of Central India by Deen Dayal, Indore' taken in the 1870s. Govindgarh Palace is situated in the jungle about 20 kilometres from Rewa in Madhya Pradesh on the west banks of Lake Vishwanath. The palace was built in the late 19th century for Raghuraj Singh of Rewa as a hunting retreat. It is famous for its White Tigers. 13 x 19 Centimetres. Photographer: Dayal, Deen.
