Photograph of the Baillie Guard Gate, Lucknow from the 'Strachey Collection of Indian Views', taken by Samuel Bourne in 1863. The Baillie Guard gateway forms the entrance to the Residency complex in Lucknow. Named after the former Resident, responsible in building it, it was the scene of the epic Indian rebellion in 1857.
