Resumo

View of the Sind River, Kashmir from 'Album of Indian Views', taken by Samuel Bourne in 1864. The Sind River is a tributary of the River Jhelum, and runs through the Sind Valley, considered the most beautiful valley in Kashmir. The source of the Sind is traditionally considered to be the sacred Lake Gangbal on Harmukh Mountain. The Sind flows for sixty miles and joins the Jhelum at Lake Anchar at Ganderbal entering through a swampy delta. Photographer: Bourne, Samuel.
