Photograph of the Residency at Bikaner in Rajasthan, from the Elgin Collection: 'Autumn Tour 1896', taken by an unknown photographer on 1st November 1896. This album in the Elgin Collection contains photographs, newspaper cuttings, addresses of welcome, programmes and a map of the Viceroy Lord Elgin's tour. Bikaner was founded in 1488 by Bhika, the son of Rao Jodha who was the founder of Jodhpur, and is the fourth largest city in Rajasthan.
