Hand-Coloured Lantern Slide from the World Missionary Society Slide Depot, UK, Part of the Royal Photographic Society/NMeM/ Science & Society Picture Library Collection at the National Media Museum. Photograph Shows Pegoud at the Controls of His Monoplane, a Bleriot-Built Type XI Aircraft. Pegoud Made the First Parachute Jump from a Plane from the Height of 250 Metres on 13 August 1913, and Did the First Loop-The-Loop on 21 September 1913. Regrettably, His Skill and Luck Ran out during World War One on 31 August 1915 When He Was Killed in Aerial Combat over Montreux-Chateau in Alsace and Was Buried in Montparnasse Cemetery in Paris.
