The "Mizaru, Iwazaru, Kikazaru" (See No Evil, Speak No Evil and Hear No Evil) Monkey Carvings Decorate the Beams of the "Shinkyu" (Divine Horse Stable) at Nikko Toshogu. The Shinkyu Is the Only Building in the Precinct without Any Lacquer Work. There Are Eight Sets of the Monkey Carvings, Which Are Symbols of a Moral Teaching.
