Photograph of the ruined temple at Deo Markanda, taken by Henry Baily Wade Garrick in 1881-82 as part of the Archaeological Survey of India Collections: Indian Museum Series (Duplicates) and described by A. Cunningham in the Report of tours in North and South Bihar in 1880-81 (A.S.I. vol. XVI, Calcutta, 1883) p. 60, 'The remains at Deo-Markanda comprise two brick temples, of which the smaller one is a complete ruin.
