Gaspar de Barahona asks for grace (merced) from the viceroy of Peru. To support his request, Barahona narrates in great detail the services to the crown provided by his grandfather Juan de la Hoz and his father-in-law Pedro de Guevara, during the conquest and civil wars in Peru. [16--]
