Photograph of an avenue on the banks of the Manoshsarovar Tank in Dilkusha Gardens at Barddhaman in West Bengal, taken by an unknown photographer in c. 1904. This is part of a album of photographs presented to Lord Curzon, the Viceroy of India, by Bijay Chand Mahtab of Burdwan (r.1887-1941), on his short visit to the city on 2nd April 1904. The Diluksha was the Summer Palace of the Maharajas set in a landscaped garden with a zoological garden and old tanks. Photographer: Unknown.
