Resumo
Photograph of the Mall, Ambala, from the Macnabb Collection (Col James Henry Erskine Reid): Album of miscellaneous views, taken in the 1880s. Ambala was situated on the route from Delhi to Shimla in northern India. In the 1880s there was a huge cantonment here covering over 78 square km (48 square miles). Built in a classic example of colonial grid planning, the cantonment was constructed from 1843 onwards. Paget Park and the Maidan provided pleasant open spaces in Ambala. 20 x 24.1 Centimetres. Photographer: Unknown.
