Talbot Collection: Album of prints dating from 1839 to 1840 Photograph. [Oil painting in cloister courtyard, Lacock Abbey.]; Photographic copy of framed painting, resting against the exterior of a window in the cloister courtyard and photographed out of doors in order to access sufficient light. The canvas depicts a three-quarter length portrait of a woman. The tonality of this print is reddish brown whereas another copy in this album (print 7) is violet. Chemistry float-applied on paper.
