ResumoRobert J. Kauffman is NEC Faculty Fellow and Associate Professor of IS at the Stern School of Business, New York University (on leave at the Simon Graduate School of Business Administration, University of Rochester in 1993), where he specializes in information technology in the financial services sector. Prior to completing a Ph.D. at the Graduate School of Industrial Administration, Carnegie Mellon University, he received an MA. at Cornell University and was an international lending and strategic planning officer at a large money center bank in New York City . He has published articles in Journal of Management Irrformation Systems, MIS Quarterly, IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, Irrformation and Management, and elsewhere. He also was a co-editor of Strategic IrrformationTechnology Management: Organizational GrowthandCompetitive Advantage. His current research focuses on developing new methods for measuring the business value of information technology in financial services settings, using techniques from economics, finance, and management science.
