Resumo

This paper intends to contribute for a comprehension of the use of the term hybridism in the present time, specially in the curriculum field taking into account the analysis of authors such as Ball (1998), Bhabha (1998), McLaren (2000), Dussel (2002), Canclini (2003, 2005), Lopes e Macedo (2002, 2006), Hall (2003) e Lopes (2004, 2005). This paper focuses on the opportunities, dangers and ambivalences that involve the use of hybridism trying to visualize possibilities for the construction of curriculum policies and practices in a critical perspective. This paper also focuses on the association of hybridism with other concepts in the analysis of curriculum policies and texts.
