EnglishThe embryonic development stages of Helisoma peruvianum (Broderip, 1832) (Pulmonata: Planorbidae) reared under controlled conditions is described. 1 250 embryos located in 31 capsules (Mean = 40. 32) were maintained at 20 ± 1oC, 24 h of continued artificial light. 7 embryonic stages were recognized: 2 cells, 4 cells, morulae, blastula, gastrula, trochophore veliger and juvenile. The greatest mortality occurs at 192 h after being placed on the juvenile. The number of eggs per capsule had a significant difference in comparison to H. trivolvis.
