The ecological and morphological parameters of Porifera at the Ponta Verde coral reef, Maceio city, on Brazilian northeast coast, were studied. The organisms were collect at the reef platform during low tides and fixed with alcohol 70%. Were found 17 taxa and were characterized 7 different aspects. This paper demonstrated the morphological diversity and importance of Porifera from coral reefs at the coast of Alagoas State.
