Resumo“For in all the world there is nothing to equal the day on which the Song of Songs was given to Israel, for all the writings are Holy, but the Song of Songs is the Holy of Holies.” Such was the vision of the exalted importance of the Song of Songs as purportedly expressed by Rabbi Aqiba at the Council of Jamnia (ca. 90 A.D.). According to tradition, Aqiba's speech helped confirm the Song's place in the canon of Scripture.
