ResumoLeg pain is one of the most common entities affecting the running and jumping athlete. Leg pain can originate from many different sources intrinsic and extrinsic to the leg. The diagnosis and treatment of chronic compartment syndrome, medial tibial stress syndrome, stress fractures of the tibia and fibula, calf muscle strain, nerve entrapment, popliteal artery entrapment, venous disease, and exercise-induced muscle pain will be discussed.
