ResumoThe Java environment is still evolving at a breakneck pace. The area of the language that has seen most of the changes is undoubtedly the Abstract Window Toolkit (AWT). The Java Foundation Classes (JFC), a much more sophisticated windowing system, have been released piecemeal, starting with Java 1.1, and have been released fully in Java 1.2. In the meantime, Netscape’s Internet Foundation Classes (IFC) have appeared on the scene.
