ResumoQuantum improvements in surgical techniques, immunosuppression, and histocompatability have made the replacement of failing human organs commonplace. Organ donation has become one of the few remaining altruistic acts in present day society. This article addresses the consent process and the distribution of human organs obtained from cadaveric organ donors.
