EnglishI examine a Polybius' passage (3, 33, 9) -a roIl of Hispanic tribal troops of Carthaginian empirian command of HannibaI-. Sent from Spain, they served their turn of duty in Africa during the second Punic war since 219 BC. I propose a relationship between these Hispanic tribes and the territorial Carthaginian administration- the 'rst - pagi.
