Las areas de montana y los nuevos modelos de desarrollo rural El termino desarrollo rural esconde numerosos matices y significados. Sin duda, su frecuente utilizacion pone de manifiesto la revalorizacion y el cambio de mentalidad que se va imponiendo sobre los espacios rurales. Con este articulo se pretende analizar el desarrollo que en particular tiene lugar en las zonas de montana, de clara vocacion forestal, su evolucion y relacion con el contexto economico y social actual, y reflexionar sobre su futuro aportando pautas de lo que deberia ser un desarrollo rural territorial y sostenible = The words Rural Development have many different meanings. Without doubts, its frequent use shows us the new importance and the mentality change there is about the rural zones In this article we try to analyze the development in mountain areas, (where we find impor tant forest resourees), its relation with the economic and social situation in the present moment, its evolution in the last vears, as well as its friture ancl the guide lines about a right 1 way of rural development: sustamable and centered in the local community and the territory
