Optical model studies of proton scattering at 30 MeV

ResumoDifferential cross sections for proton elastic scattering have been measured as part of an extensive programme of optical model studies being carried out with the Rutherford Laboratory linear accelerator. Results have been obtained for 30.3 MeV protons at 2° angular intervals on seven isotopes Ca40, Fe56, Co59, Ni58, Ni60, Sn120 and Pb208. Less detailed measurements have also been carried out at this energy on C12, O16 and a natural mixture of Cu isotopes.
