ResumoThe stable and safe compound trimethylsilyldiazomethane (TMSCHN2), which is useful for organic synthesis, was prepared in high yield by diazo-transfer reaction of trimethylsilylmethylmagnesium chloride with diphenyl phosphorazidate [DPPA, (C6H5O)2-P (O) N3].
