
Dermatopatia isquêmica em um cão: relato de caso

ResumoObjective: To report on a case of ischemic dermatopathy, clinically and histopatologically compatible with multifocal ischemic dermatopathy. Description: A three-year old male Maltese dog was diagnosed With isquemic dermatopathy at Koala Hospital Animal (Koala Animal Hospital), Sao Paulo, Sp, Brazil. Initial lesions affected the pinnae,joolpads, scrolwn, hocks, olecranum, right flank, tip of the tail and periocular and perioral areas. The dog had been vaccinated against rabies in the right flank, four months before lesions were first noted. The patient was medicated with pentoxifylline and vitamin E, but lesions progressed despite treatment. Comments: It cannot be concluded that the treatment was totally inefficient, once the owner chose to discontinue therapy.
