Camille Pissarro para muchos uno de los padres del impresionismo frances, estuvo en Venezuela por 21 meses desde 1852 hasta 1854 a sus 22 anos acompanando al pintor danes Fritz Melby quien lo convencio de venir a tierras sudamericanas. Creemos que estos 21 meses fueron importantes para el joven Pissarro ya que creemos tuvieron repercusion en el aspecto pictorico, en el aspecto de creencias sociales-politicas y en el aspecto de sus preferencias de temas pictoricos (el ser humano en sus oficios fundamentales). Nos pasearemos por su vida antes, durante y despues de venir a Venezuela. Mostraremos las acuarelas, los carboncillos y las pinturas realizadas en nuestro pais y sus similitudes a anos de distancia con las pinturas realizadas en Francia los ultimos 50 anos del siglo XIX. Revisaremos su vida y las penurias que tuvo que pasar hasta bien avanzada su edad. Hablaremos del pensamiento en lo referente a la pintura paisajista del siglo XIX. La influencia de Alejandro von Humboldt en los llamados artistas viajeros. Mostraremos su obra en Venezuela, parte de su obra en Francia y su pensamiento politico. Creemos que por lo inedito del tema, sera de gran utilidad para los investigadores de la vida de Camille Pissarro. Camille Pissarro and Venezuela. A lifelong relationship (First part) Abstract Camille Pissarro, for many one of the fathers of French Impressionism, was in Venezuela for 21 months from 1852 to 1854 to accompany the 22-year Danish painter Fritz Melby who convinced him to come to South American soil. We believe these 21months were important to the young Pissarro because we had an impact on the pictorial aspect, the aspect of social-political beliefs and the preferences aspect of pictorial themes (the human being in his fundamental trades). We walk through his life before, during and after coming to Venezuela. We will show watercolors, charcoal drawings and paintings made in our country and their similarities are years away with the paintings in France over the past 50 years of the nineteenth century.
