ResumoTwenty three Bryophytes species (11 hepatics and 12 mosses) were found in the Urubuquecaba island, Santos. Among the hepatics, the family Lejeuneaceae presented the highest number of representatives, with seven species,and Bartramiaceae, Fissidentaceae and Sematophyllaceae, with two species each. Cololejeunea lignicola P. Tixier is the second report in the State of Sao Paulo and it is the first report in an oceanic island. Before, this taxon was only known in Serra da Cantareira, Sao Paulo (type locality).
