Resumo

An analysis of the scientific world is the starting point of this text, considering the polemic around the so called “pure science” and the “humanist science” which originated the “war of sciences” and the reflections this brings in the political constructs of the West. It also studies the contemporary tendencies of science, the role of the scientist and the concept of scientist/science during history.
