O artigo objetiva compor um “percurso” atraves de cancoes que trazem referencias a cidade de Porto Alegre e afirmar o carater patrimonial que estas possuem. Sao cancoes menos conhecidas, que, mesmo com estilos diferentes, falam de lugares da cidade impregnados de “carga simbolica”. Dessa forma o uso da cancao se apresenta como um instrumento de educacao patrimonial, por mostrar-se proprio para auxiliar no processo ativo de conhecimento, apropriacao e valorizacao da heranca cultural. An affectionate course through the songs that sing about Porto Alegre Abstract This article’s goal is to trace a ‘journey’ through songs that refer to the city of Porto Alegre and affirm their historical aspect. These songs are not well known, and despite their diverse styles, speak of city locations loaded with symbolic meanings. Thus the use of these songs is presented as an education heritage tool, because they can aid in an active process of knowledge, appropriation and valuation of the cultural heritage.
