The aim of this paper is to do a brief presentation of the narrator of A hora da estrela (1977) – (The Time of the Star) – written by Clarice Lispector. However, the ironic and metalinguistic procedures used by the writer will be showed and they allow us to classify her work as modern. For being a speculate narrative, the questions about “mise-en-abyme” will also take part in our study.
