Resumo

As far back as 1967, when he was still Minister of Justice, Prime Minister Pierce Elliott Trudeau advocated changing the Canadian Bill of Rights by adoption of a constitutionally entrenched charter. It should surprise no one, then, that just such a Charter of Rights and Freedoms constitutes the bulk of the proposed resolution which seeks one final amending Act by the United Kingdom Parliament of Canada's basic constitutional document-the British North America Act
