Es wurde im Zeitraum dreier Jahre aus 7 von 8 untersuchten Katzenkadavern isoliert. Experimentell erzeugte es eine fieberhafte Rhino-Laryngo-Tracheitis. Es weist Eigenschaften von Herpesviren auf und eine serologische Verwandtschaft zum FVR-Erreger von Crandell et al. (13, 14). Ein weiterer aus einem Einzelfall isolierter Virusstamm ließ sich zu den Picornaviren einteilen. Summary Enzootic coryza caused by a virus in a cat home Part II: Virological and experimental A cytopathogenic virus was isolated as the cause of enzootic coryza in a cat home. The virus was isolated over a period of three years from 7 out of 8 cat carcases examined. Experimentally the virus produces a febrile rhino-laryngotracheitis. The virus showed properties of the herpes viruses and was related serologically to the FVR agent of Crandell et al. A further strain of virus isolated from an individual case was classified among the Picorna viruses. Résumé Catarrhe nasal enzootique et viral du chat dans un asile pour animaux 2ème communication: Virologie et expérimentation Un virus cytopathogène, cause d'un catarrhe enzootique a pû être isolé dans un asile pour animaux. Dans l'espace de 3 ans, ce virus a pû être isolé de 7 sur 8 cadavres de chats examinés. Expérimentalement il provoquait une rhino-laryngo-trachéite fébrile. Il a certaines propriétés du virus de l'herpes et une certaine parenté sérologique avec l'agent du FVR de Crandell et coll. (13, 14). Un autre virus isolé d'un cas unique, a pû être rangé parmi les virus de Picorna. Resumen Rinitis enzoótics virósica del gato en un albergue para animates 2a Comunicacion: Parte virológica y experimental Como causa de una rinitis enzoótica se pudo aislar un virus citopatógeno en un albergue para animales. En el transcurso de tres años se aisló de 7 de entre 8 cadáveres de gatos examinados. Experimentalmente, producía una rinolaringo-traqueitis febril. Presenta propiedades de los virus del herpes y cierto parentesco serológico con el agente FVR de Crandell y colaboradores (13, 14).
