ResumoThe chemical study has raised throughout the history of interest in the chemical composition of plants classified as medicinal. The phytochemical research was to determine the chemical constituents of plants or know the group of secondary metabolites relevant in them. This study aimed to perform tests phytochemicals in medicinal herbs in the Area of Environmental Protection's Municipal Inhamum. Bark and leaves were collected, it was noted in field book of the characteristics of each species and their therapeutic indications. The triagen phytochemistry of plants collected were performed by the method of scouting and thin layer chromatography, tests for the classes of metabolite tannins, saponins, alkaloids, terpenes, flavonoids, steroids/terpenoids. The extracts were made with ethanol and the tests took place with specific reagents for expensive class of substances investigated. The tests were considered positive reactions by precipitation, color, foaming and formation of colored spots on the chromatographic plate. According to the data obtained, the population for the study area plants that believe they have anti-inflammatory activities, expectorant, digestive, among others. The classes of metabolites that showed higher expression were alkaloids and tannins, when analyzed by exploration and flavonoids and terpenes when analyzed by CCD.
