Resumo

Introduction Created in 1972 by the Argentine Roberto Fontanarrosa, the comic series Inodoro Pereyra recounts the adventures of the gaucho 3 Inodoro Pereyra – also known as el renegau 4 – and his dog Mendieta, with the occasional appearance of Eulogia Tapia, Inodoro‘s partner. The series first appeared in Hortensia as a parody of the poem Martin Fierro by Jose Hernandez. 5 Fontanarrosa subsequently left Hortensia for Mengano, then Siete Dias and finally became affiliated with Clarin. 6 In 2005, the magazine Sudestada placed Inodoro Pereyra among the ―10 comics that changed history‖, alongside El Eternauta,
