The synthesis, NMR, and IR spectra of syn and anti perhydro-7, 11-methanopyrido [1.2-c] (1,3) diazocine is described and the influence of the nitrogen lone pair of electrons on the geminal coupling constant of an adjacent methylene group is discussed.
