ResumoThis article is a reflection upon the artistic conception of the film The Trespasser (2001), directed by Beto Brant. The study focuses on the strategies found by the director and his film crew during the process of transcriation of the written language (novel and screenplay) to the cinematographic language. The analysis procedures are seated in the exclusives interviews that I made with the director of the film, Beto Brant, the writer and scriptwriter Marcal Aquino, the scriptwriter and producer Renato Ciasca and the rapper Sabotage, actor and style consultant. As Beto Brant affirms, the process of the screenplay transformation begins in the set during the contact with the film crew. In The Trespasser we can find countless situations in that the contribution of the film crew was decisive for the final result of the film.
