Resumo

The study of the species of the tribes Eragrostideae and Zoysieae (Chloridoideae - Poaceae) on the Island of Santa Catarina, Florianopolis State was based on fi eld collections and revision of herbarium collections. We found Eragrostis Wolf. with 15 species for the tribe Eragrostideae, seven being exotic subespontaneos and eight native species. For Zoysieae two genera with native representatives were found, Spartina Schreb. and Sporobolus (L.) R. Br., with three and two species, respectivilly. Five species and one variety of Eragrostis are new records for Santa Catarina: E. macrothyrsa Hack., E. minor Host., E. paniciformis (A. Br.) Steud., E. neesii var.lindmanii (Hack.) Ekman, E. tenella (L.) P. Beauv. ex Roem. & Schult. and E. tenuifolia (A. Rich.) Hochst. ex Steud. The fi rst three species are the second record for Brazil. This work includes identifi cation keys, illustrations, descriptions, geographic distribution information, habitat, fl owering period and taxonomic comments.
