Resumo

We observed the central radio source of the southern barred spiral galaxy NGC 613 with the VLA at 4.86 and 14.94 GHz. These measurements give essential information on the morphology of this source. The radio emission from the inner 1 kpc is dominated by a linear feature, consisting of three discrete components, with an overall length of ∼ 300 pc and by a ring-like (torus?) feature with a radius of ∼350 pc and a diameter of ∼200 pc. It is conjectured that the linear feature is perpendicular to the plane of the ring-like feature and has an intrinsic length of ∼600 pc
