O trabalho tem por objetivo apresentar a pesquisa de opiniao realizada no periodo de Outubro/2005 a Setembro de 2010, no Museu Militar do Comando Militar do Sul (MMCMS), Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. Os dados obtidos na pesquisa ofereceram a equipe do museu, atraves das informacoes analisadas, subsidios que contribuiram e ainda contribuem para um melhor entendimento das praticas de visitacao. Os dados tambem mostraram informacoes importantes que auxiliam na gestao, no controle dos acervos e incentivam a elaboracao de acoes estrategicas para ampliacao e diversificacao do publico visitante no MMCMS. Abstract This paper aims to present the opinion survey conducted in the period from October 2005 to September 2010, at the Military Museum of the Southern Military Command (MMCMS) Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. The data obtained in the survey offered the museum staff, through the information analyzed, subsidies that have contributed and still contribute to a better understanding of the visitation practices. The data also revealed important information that help in the management, control of collections and encourage the development of strategic actions for the expansion and diversification of the visitors in MMCMS.
