Two cases of verruciform xanthoma have been analyzed. Clinical and light microscopic findings are similar to those reported by Shafer1 and Miller.2 Lipid and electron microscopic studies were also performed. These yielded the presence of lipid-laden macrophages, thus verifying the lesions as "xanthomas."
