ResumoRecently, we observed that topical fluocinolone acetonide (F.A.) cream, 0.025 per cent concentration! produced rapid and complete involution of psoriatic lesions in intertrigenous or moist areas, but was not effective on lesions in non-intertrigenous areas. In some patients it was noted that although the intertrigenous portion of a lesion cleared, a rim or portion of the psoriasis lesion persisted on the “non-moistened” skin. This observation led to the development of a fixed moist dressing technic to simulate an “intertrigenous” state for lesions of non-intertrigenous skin.
